Shir Ami Early Learning Center is seeking a caring, energetic, and motivated Apprentice Teacher to join our growing team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who loves working with young children and is interested in building a career in early childhood education.

As an Apprentice Teacher, you will work alongside experienced educators in a warm, play-based learning environment. You will receive hands-on mentoring while helping create meaningful learning experiences for children ages 6 weeks through Pre-K.

Responsibilities

• Assist Lead Teachers with daily classroom activities and routines.

• Build warm, positive relationships with children, families, and staff.

• Support children's social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development.

• Prepare learning materials and classroom centers.

• Supervise children during indoor and outdoor play, meals, rest time, and transitions.

• Help maintain a clean, organized, and safe classroom environment.

• Participate in classroom activities including art, music, storytelling, sensory play, and other learning experiences.

• Observe children's development and communicate observations with the teaching team.

• Attend staff meetings and professional development opportunities.

• Follow all licensing regulations and Shir Ami Early Learning Center policies.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required, plus two years of experience.

• Interest in Early Childhood Education or a related field.

• Previous experience working with young children is preferred but not required.

• Willingness to learn through coaching and mentorship.

• Positive attitude, reliability, and strong communication skills.

• Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.

• Must meet all state-required background clearances and health requirements.
