Now Hiring: Lead Infant Room Teacher
Shir Ami Early Learning Center is seeking a caring, energetic, and motivated Apprentice Teacher to join our growing team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who loves working with young children and is interested in building a career in early childhood education.
As an Apprentice Teacher, you will work alongside experienced educators in a warm, play-based learning environment. You will receive hands-on mentoring while helping create meaningful learning experiences for children ages 6 weeks through Pre-K.
Responsibilities
Assist Lead Teachers with daily classroom activities and routines.
Build warm, positive relationships with children, families, and staff.
Support children's social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development.
Prepare learning materials and classroom centers.
Supervise children during indoor and outdoor play, meals, rest time, and transitions.
Help maintain a clean, organized, and safe classroom environment.
Participate in classroom activities including art, music, storytelling, sensory play, and other learning experiences.
Observe children's development and communicate observations with the teaching team.
Attend staff meetings and professional development opportunities.
Follow all licensing regulations and Shir Ami Early Learning Center policies.
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent required, plus two years of experience.
Interest in Early Childhood Education or a related field.
Previous experience working with young children is preferred but not required.
Willingness to learn through coaching and mentorship.
Positive attitude, reliability, and strong communication skills.
Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
Must meet all state-required background clearances and health requirements.
